“For security reasons”: the invaders brought the ship to Mariupol by car

The Russian invaders presented the youth yacht club in Mariupol with the “ancient Russian” boat “Zmiy Horynich”.

Last year, in November, the authors of the project “Journey on the boat “Snake Horynich” to Mariupol on the Sea of Azov” were supposed to receive a grant of 10 million rubles. The total cost of the project amounted to 13.7 million rubles, rosZMI reports.

“The famous ancient Russian boat “Zmii Horynich”, which is the most fabulous ship of the 21st century, will bring so much joy to this region of sorrow and sadness that all residents, both children and adults, will feel the spiritual victory that heroes once felt when defeating the Zmii Horynich, subduing them and forcing them to roll on the sea, as it is told in the legend of the Kyiv cycle about Zmiy and Nikita Kozhemiak,” the authors of the project stated.

The ship arrived in Mariupol last week. Initially, the occupiers planned to come to the city on four ships of their “fairytale” flotilla. But something happened, and the cruise was replaced by a car run “for safety reasons.”

In addition to Horynych, the Russians presented local schoolchildren with 10 leather armors and weapons – probably to prepare them for a colorful life in the army of mobilized Russian “heroes”.

We should also note that “Nikita Kozhumyak” is Nikita Kozhumyak, a snake charmer, a character of an ancient folk epic, common during the times of Kyivan Rus. According to legend, Pereyaslav in the Kyiv region was named after him.
