Gantry cranes will be repaired at the Kremenchug lock

Ukrvodshlyakh has announced a tender for overhaul of frame cranes at the Kremenchug shipping lock.
According to Prozorro, the total expected cost of the work is UAH 4.5 million (USD 168.9 thousand). The auction will take place on October 12th, the deadline for applications is October 11th. The work has to be completed by the end of 2022.
The construction of the Kremenchug shipping lock began in September 1955, and in September 1959 the first lock was carried out. In May 1964, the Kremenchug shipping lock was put into permanent operation and still works.
As USM previously reported, on September 19th, test locks of barge caravans and tugs began at the locks of the Dnipro cascade. The experiment will run til the end of the year.
