In March, the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi MTP will be sold at an auction

Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi port will be sold at auction next month. The starting price is more than 187 million.

The auction for the sale of SE “MTP “Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi” is to be held on March 3. The initial price of the lot is UAH 187,574,000 ($4.6 million), Oleksandr Slavskyi, head of the regional office of the State Property Fund of Ukraine in the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions, said during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine Odesa.

The object of privatization does not include land, but the new owner will have the right to rent and buy land in the territorial community.

“Also, the new owner must repay debts from salaries and to the budget, as well as overdue credit debt, which as of September 30, 2022, amounts to UAH 104,600,000 ($2.6 million),” said Slavskyi.

Acting Oksana Kiktenko, director of the State Enterprise “MTP “Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi”, emphasized that the preparation for privatization lasted three years.

“The port has great potential. During the preparation for privatization, 252 objects were transferred from the balance sheet of the Seaports Administration to a single property complex. These objects include 9 ships, 4 diesel locomotives, 18 cranes and 47 cars. Also, all arrests on the port’s accounts and property have been cancelled,” Oksana Kiktenko emphasized.

According to her, in 2022 the port handled 280,000 tons of various cargoes. In addition, the new owner will be the only port operator in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi.
