MIU proposed a single document for state inspections in the field of IWT

The Ministry of Infrastructure has published a draft order on the creation of a unified form of documents on inspections by government agencies of companies in the field of sea and river transport.

The department wants to approve a unified document form for planned/unscheduled government inspections. The State Control will monitor how companies comply with the requirements of the legislation in the field of sea and river transport.

In connection with the adoption of the Law “On Inland Water Transport”, which comes into force on January 1st, amendments have been made to the acts.

It is also noted that public organizations and business associations have repeatedly contacted the MIU regarding the excessive number of questions that are used in practice during state inspections. In addition, it is necessary to create a separate normative legal act, and add new clauses there – on the licensee’s compliance with the requirements of the legislation in the field of transportation by sea and river transport of passengers and dangerous goods, as well as hazardous waste.

Because of this, the MIU developed and proposed a new unified form of the act on the conduct of state control. A complete list of proposed innovations can be found on the MIU website.
