Moldova agreed to a discount on the transit of Ukrainian cargo

The Moldovan Railway agreed to a 27% discount on transit transportation of Ukrainian agricultural products to the ports of Reni, Giurgiulesti and Galatsi.

The new tariff conditions will be effective from July 15, 2023, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reports. According to the new tariff conditions for transit cargo, the application of the factor for discounts to the basic tariffs is applied on the condition that all freight forwarding organizations comply with the volumes of transportation.

To calculate the tariff, one of two conditions must be met:

• Execution of the set volume of freight transportation per month;

• The average monthly volume of transported cargo for the last three months is greater than or equal to the established volume of cargo transportation for the month.

Previously, USM said that Moldova will reduce railway tariffs for the transportation of Ukrainian agricultural products.
