More than 900 trucks are waiting in line to enter Ukraine at the border with Slovakia.
As of Saturday morning, a queue of 955 trucks formed at the Slovak border to enter Ukraine. The spokeswoman of the Transcarpathian Customs, Victoria Sengetovska, said this, Ukrinform reports.
She clarified that at the Uzhgorod – Vyshne Nemetske checkpoint, 32 cars are waiting to leave Ukraine, and 955 are waiting to enter.
Another 1,100 cars are waiting in line to enter Ukraine from Hungary at the Chop (Tysa) – Zahon checkpoint.
Sengetovska noted that the strike by Slovak carriers had almost no effect on the actual capacity of the Dyakove – Halmeu checkpoint. There, there is a queue of 150 trucks waiting to enter Ukraine, and 30 to leave.
The Union of Transporters of Slovakia started blocking the movement of trucks through the Vyshnye-Nemetske checkpoint on the border with Ukraine on December 1.
