Not a single elevator is working in Kherson region, — the head of Regional Military Administration Prokudin
Not a single elevator works in the Kherson region. Harvest preservation is one of the challenges of this year’s sowing.
The invaders destroyed hangars and warehouses in the Kherson region, not a single elevator is working. Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, told about this, Elevatorist reports.
However, farmers of the Kherson and Beryslav districts were among the first to receive the necessary assistance. Almost a hundred modular granaries were handed over to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
Agricultural producers independently have already installed the first structures that can provide storage of up to a thousand tons of grain. Their main advantages are mobility and ease of installation. You can collect storage within a day.
Due to the realities of war and the lack of funds to restore warehouses, farmers are forced to look for alternative methods of storing crops. Some farmers use sleeves, but this requires expensive equipment to load and unload.
Next week, the authorities plan to distribute free of charge 204 sleeves for storing more than 40,000 tons of grain.
