Oil transshipment volumes were reduced by all Ukrainian ports, except for one
In January-August 2021, the seaports of Ukraine reduced the volume of oil transshipment to 3.03 million tons. This is 26.2% less than in the same period last year.
The growth of oil transshipment indicators is observed only in the port of Odesa. This year the port handled 21.7% more oil than in the same period last year. This is evidenced by the data of the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority”.
In general, the volumes of liquid cargo transshipment in Ukrainian ports lag slightly behind last year. This year, the handling of oil and oil products increased (mainly due to the Odesa port): oil – 1.6 million tons against 1.44 million tons last year, oil products – 1.15 million tons against 809 thousand tons in last year. The volume of transshipment of chemical goods decreased, but not critical – by only 2%.
