SE “MTP “Pivdennyi” is preparing heat and energy infrastructure, backup power sources, port fleet and transshipment equipment.
SE “MTP “Pivdennyi” has begun comprehensive preparation of the enterprise for the autumn-winter period of 2026–2027. This was reported in the company’s press service.
Specialists will check heat and power equipment and power supply systems, as well as prepare buildings and premises of the port for operation at low temperatures. In particular, work is planned to insulate facilities, restore damaged glazing and prepare heating systems.
“Preparation for winter is a matter of the sustainability of the entire enterprise. We must go through each stage in advance and be ready for different scenarios. It is important to ensure reliable operation of key systems on which the operation of the port’s divisions depends,” said Artem Lytvynov, director of SE “MTP “Pivdennyi”.
Special attention will be paid to backup power supply. The enterprise will check the readiness of backup power sources and form the necessary fuel reserves.
To respond promptly to possible emergencies, special teams will be created, which, if necessary, will eliminate malfunctions in the electricity, heat and water supply systems, as well as sewage.
The preparation will also cover the port’s production complex. The reloading equipment and mechanisms will be checked and prepared for uninterrupted operation at low temperatures. The port fleet and snow removal equipment will also be prepared for the winter period.
After the completion of all planned events, a special commission will check the readiness of the enterprise’s structural units for work in the autumn-winter period.
Also, as USM wrote, the port “Pivdennyi” is expanding the network of mobile shelters for employees.
