Sybiha discussed shipping safety in the Black Sea with the Panamanian Foreign Minister

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha and his Panamanian counterpart Javier Martinez-Acha discussed maritime security and freedom of navigation.

The meeting took place in New York, Sybiha reported on the social network X.

“From the Black Sea to the Panama Canal, maritime security is interconnected,” the Ukrainian minister noted.

According to him, Russian attacks and attempts to impede shipping in the Black Sea pose risks to global food security far beyond the region.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed the return of Ukrainian children deported by Russia and holding Russia accountable for the crime of aggression.

Earlier, Sybiha discussed the safety of shipping in the Black Sea with the IMO Secretary General.
