The pace of Ukrainian exports from ports is gradually gaining momentum in January.
The United Nations does not consider the Ukrainian maritime corridor in the Black Sea to be stable and predictable.
Thanks to the work of the Ukrainian maritime corridor, Ukraine shipped a record amount of agricultural products by water transport in December since February 2022.
Last year, Odesa region ports handled more than 50 million tons of cargo, which is 15% more than in 2022.
The growth of exports at the end of 2023 was facilitated by the opening of the maritime corridor, vessels insurance and the improvement of logistics on the Danube.
Ukraine exported a record monthly amount of oil since the beginning of the full-scale war.
In September, the first ships with metal went through the temporary sea corridor, and in November, the overall increase in sea exports was recorded by 70%.
Night navigation has started working on the Sulina channel. In this way, the ports on the Danube plan to increase their export capacity to 4 million tons per month.
Almost 7.5 million tons of cargo have already been transported through the new sea corridor in the Black Sea.
