The Cabinet of Ministers issued new requirements for foreign vessels
The Cabinet of Ministers has amended the resolution on the entry of foreign non-military vessels into the river ports of Ukraine.
So, now foreign non-military vessels can enter Ukrainian river ports/terminals if they have the following documents:
- certificates of the inland navigation vessel and qualification documents of the crew issued by the EU Member States or in accordance with the Law on Inland Water Transport;
- vessel’s and qualification documents that meet the requirements of the Merchant Shipping Code of Ukraine;
- vessel’s and qualification documents that meet the requirements established by international treaties of Ukraine in the field of merchant shipping.
The documents are checked by the State Service of Sea and River Transport of Ukraine (Maritime Administration) in the port where the checkpoint across the state border (control point) is opened.
These vessels may call at river ports for cabotage voyages if their shipowners are companies registered on the territory of Ukraine.
