The “director” of the Berdyansk port will be tried for aiding the invaders

In the Zaporizhzhia region, a man will be tried, who headed the Berdyansk port captured by the occupiers and contributed to the reorganization of its work in favor of russia.

Prosecutors of the Zaporizhia region sent an indictment to the court against the former head of the operational response department of the Berdyansk port security service on the fact of aiding the aggressor state, the Zaporizhia regional prosecutor’s office reported.

According to the investigation, in April 2022, the suspect, having secured the support of representatives of the occupation administration, agreed to the appointment of “acting head of Berdyansk sea trade port”. From July 2022, by order of the pseudo-governor of the Zaporizhia region, he became the “director of the state unitary enterprise of the Zaporizhia region “Berdyansky Sea Trade Port”.

The pseudo-leader voluntarily assisted the enemy in reorganizing the work of the seaport in favor of the aggressor country. He organized an inventory of the property of the port administration with the subsequent transfer to the property of the enemy belonging to Ukraine – tugboats, port cranes, loaders, automobile cargo equipment, etc.

Working for the occupation authorities, he ensured the removal of grain from agro-industrial complexes and grain terminals in the Zaporizhzhia region for its illegal export.

In his interviews with propaganda media, the man actively talked about the company’s activities in “fruitful” cooperation with the occupation administration of russian federation.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was carried out by investigators of the SBU Department in the Zaporizhzhia region.
