The Pentagon said that they are not transferring weapons to Ukraine for attacks on Russian refineries

The Pentagon said that it does not support Ukraine with weapons to launch strikes on Russian oil refineries.

The USA does not transfer weapons to Ukraine for attacks on Russian refineries. This was stated by Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder at a briefing, reports “European Truth”.

Commenting on the strikes on Russian oil refineries, Ryder noted that the US is focused on providing aid that allows Ukraine to defend itself.

A representative of the US Ministry of Defense was asked whether the department had spoken with Ukraine regarding attacks on Russian refineries. Ryder replied that the aid that Washington provides to Kyiv is intended so that Ukraine can defend itself and regain its sovereign territory.

“We do not provide any assistance for use outside of these limits. I would recommend that you contact Ukraine to talk about their operations,” he said.

It will be recalled that earlier the USA called on Ukraine to stop attacks on Russian refineries and terminals.

In particular, Washington is concerned that due to Ukraine’s attacks on Russian facilities, the Russian Federation may retaliate by attacking the energy infrastructure that the West relies on. This refers to the KTK pipeline, which transports oil from Kazakhstan through Russia to the world market. It is used by Western companies, including ExxonMobil and Chevron.
