The port of Berdyansk has paid off salary arrears

Berdyansk Commercial Sea Port has paid off salary arrears to its employees.

This became known during a meeting at the Zaporozhye Regional State Administration. The company’s salary debt to employees was UAH 3.6 million (USD 134.2 thousand).

Recall, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine has appointed Taras Verniba as the Head of the Berdyansk branch of the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority”. Previously, this position was held by Olexandr Barchan.

According to the order of the MIU, from August 6th, Olexandr Barchan ceased to fulfill the powers of the Head of the Berdyansk port administration. USM was told about this in the Berdyansk branch of the USPA. As a reminder, Barchan has been the Head of the branch since October 2016.

By a new order of the Ministry of Infrastructure, from August 9th, Taras Verniba has been appointed Head of the Berdyansk branch of the State Enterprise “USPA” instead of Olexandr Barchan.

As USM reported earlier, SE “Reni Commercial Sea Port” and “Ust’dunajvodput'” owe their employees more than UAH 11 million (USD 410.2 thousand) in salaries. The largest debt remains with the State Enterprise “Reni Commercial Sea Port” – UAH 9.8 million (USD 365.5 thousand). The debt of the State Enterprise of waterways “Ust’dunajvodput'” (Izmail) amounted to slightly more than UAH 2 million (USD 74.5 thousand).
