The port of Chornomorsk did not find tugs for icebreaking operations

The Chornomorsk Port Authority was unable to procure services for icebreaking operations on the approach channel and in the port water area during the ice campaign.
According to Prozorro, the tender was canceled due to the fact that only one company applied for the tender.
As USM previously reported, tugs must be at least 1,500 hp and 4 thousand hp ice class Ice2 or higher. During the ice campaign, tugs will have to be deployed in the water area of the Sukhoi Estuary.
The expected cost of the work was UAH 6 million (USD 222.63 thousand). As USM reported earlier, the Chornomorsk Port Authority announced a tender for the repair of berths №17 and №18.
