The Port of Odesa was visited by the German Ambassador Heiko Thoms

Odesa Seaport was visited on a working visit by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine, Mr. Heiko Thoms.
As part of the visit, a meeting was held with the management of the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Sea Ports Administration” and the Odesa branch of the State Enterprise “USPA”, the Odesa Sea Port Administration reports.
During the meeting, the guests were provided with up-to-date information on the port’s operation in the conditions of full-scale Russian aggression, as well as the consequences of enemy attacks for the port infrastructure and logistics of the region. The parties discussed the prospects for further German-Ukrainian cooperation in the maritime industry and the development of transport infrastructure.
“The Ambassador confirmed the intentions of the German government to continue to support the Odessa region as one of the key transport hubs of Ukraine and an important element in ensuring international trade and food security,” the Port Administration noted.
Recall that at the end of May, Russia attacked three foreign ships moving along the Ukrainian sea corridor. The sailors were injured in the attack.
