The Russians attacked a ship with Ukrainian corn in the port of Pivdennyi
As a result of another missile attack by the Russians, a merchant ship in the port of Odesa was damaged.
On the night of October 6, Russia damaged the ship Paresa under the flag of St. Kitts and Nevis, which was loaded with corn grain for export, the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine reported.
It happened near one of the berths in the Pivdennyi seaport. Fortunately, none of the 15 crew members, citizens of Egypt and Syria, were injured. In total, about 6,000 tons of Ukrainian corn were loaded onto the ship — it was civilian cargo.
Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksiy Kuleba noted that this is already the 20th civilian ship that was damaged as a result of Russian attacks. A few weeks ago, a terrorist country hit a ship carrying wheat to Egypt.
“This is nothing but Russia’s attempts to influence the successful operation of the Ukrainian Maritime Food Corridor and endanger global food security,” the minister commented.
The terrorist country has traditionally declared the destruction of alleged military cargo, which is not true.
Russia also carries out similar attacks in the border regions of Ukraine, which directly threatens the security of neighboring countries. For example, two truck drivers who were waiting to cross the border were injured recently as a result of a Russian attack on the Izmail district of Odesa region. At that time, six trucks, grain storage and administrative buildings of the Orlivka checkpoint on the border with Romania, which operates as a crossing on the Danube, were damaged. This was the fourth attack on Orlivka since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
