The Shipping Register is involved in the training of specialists in the field of state quality assurance

The Shipping Register and the Main Department of State Quality Assurance have concluded an Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Quality Assurance.

This was reported by the Register of Shipping of Ukraine.

Acting Director General Oleksiy Vostrikov said that the Register will involve its human resources and expert potential in the fields of shipbuilding, ship repair, marine engineering, materials, components and equipment to improve the professional competence of specialists of territorial departments of state quality assurance.

The next step is to develop a joint plan of practical measures for the implementation of the Agreement.

What is state quality assurance?

The authorized body assesses the ability of enterprises to fulfill a defense order and verifies compliance with the requirements for the quality of goods, works and services under state contracts. Inspections are carried out in the interests of state customers – both during domestic procurement and during the implementation of international contracts for the export and import of defense products.

In June 2026, the Government approved the Regulation on the Authorized Body for State Quality Assurance (DQA) – the Main Department of State Quality Assurance of the Ministry of Defense.

For the first time, the document at the level of a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers defines the tasks and functions of this body and establishes its operational independence: interference in the results of inspections is prohibited, including by the leadership of the Ministry of Defense. The Minister of Defense creates conditions for the impartial work of the authorized body and makes it impossible for any interference in the course of inspections and the registration of their results.
