The UDS has defined strategic tasks for 2024

The Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company outlined plans for 2024.
Dmytro Moskalenko, head of the UDS, told about it.
According to him, there is a new manager at the factory recently. He is expected to start the scrap metal disposal process.
“There are dozens of tons of waste in the warehouse, and a mountain of leftover lighters is growing. This year, we plan to write off dozens of ships that are not subject to restoration. These are considerable funds that the UDS needs for modernization and development,” explained Dmytro Moskalenko.
The company also plans to register property rights. Unregistered plots of land and buildings should turn into a complete property complex this year. This is important both from the point of view of protecting the company’s property and attracting investments.

In particular, the UDS is working on import substitution and cost reduction. The first vessel was painted with Ukrainian-made paint.
The UDS team also conducts legal work regarding the non-mining sea vessel “Captain Stolbovskyi”.
“Monument of corruption of past times. The legacy of “predecessors”. Since two thousand years, it has been interfering with the normal work of the blind. As a result, the UDS should receive the maximum economic effect, and not another financial burden. So far, it has been agreed to move the unfinished building to a blind corner and free up space for the repair and modernization of river vessels,” said Dmytro Moskalenko.
By the end of February, they plan to launch the self-propelled vessel “Captain Antipov” and send it to Austria for modernization. And in March, the next SLG barge is scheduled to be launched.
At the same time, the process of restoring the UDS crane industry continues.
As previously reported by USM, the focus of attention of “Ukrainian Danube Shipping” this year remains the modernization of the fleet, increasing the volume of transportation, as well as cooperation with foreign companies.
