Ukraine and France discussed the possibilities of developing Ukrainian seaports

Representatives of the countries discussed ways to increase the capacity of Ukrainian seaports and create opportunities for receiving large-tonnage vessels.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories.

The meeting, which was attended by Deputy Minister for Development of Communities and Territories Andriy Kashuba, as well as representatives of the USPA and the Odesa Port, was held on March 6.

“The development of seaports is an important area of activity for the Ministry of Development. After all, ports today, in the conditions of a full-scale invasion, play one of the key roles in the country’s economic stability and world food security. Together with the USPA, we are working with representatives of stevedoring companies on the development of joint projects. Cooperation with international partners is also in focus,” said Andriy Kashuba.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed further actions regarding the development of the maritime transport industry in Ukraine. As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed on a long-term partnership and joint work on the development of Ukraine’s port infrastructure.
