Ukraine earned more than $18 billion on agricultural exports

Exports of agri-food products from Ukraine in January-September amounted to $18.2 billion. This is $2.6 billion more than last year.

Bohdan Dukhnitsky, an employee of the National Research Center “Institute of Agrarian Economics”, said this with reference to the State Statistics Service.

According to him, the defining positions in the commodity structure of domestic agri-food exports are grains and oilseeds, vegetable oil, residues and waste, as well as meat products. The combined share of these products is more than 85% in agricultural exports.

The main sales markets remain four regions – Asia ($9.02 billion, a share of about 50%), the European Union ($5.4 billion, 30%), Africa ($2.3 billion, 13%) and the CIS ($0.96 billion, 5%). In total, they account for more than 97% of the value of Ukrainian agricultural exports.
