Ukraine is tracking new ships with stolen grain to Egypt and Algeria, — MFA

Ukraine is recording the routes of ships carrying grain exported by Russia from the occupied territories and is preparing international steps against participants in this trade.
Ukraine is monitoring the supply of stolen grain from the temporarily occupied territories to various countries and plans to counteract this trade at the international level. This was stated by Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhiy Tykhy, Ukrinform reports.
According to him, cases have already been recorded before when ships with such cargo were heading to Turkey, Egypt, Algeria and other countries. Currently, Tykhy noted, one ship with stolen Ukrainian grain is approaching Egypt, another to Algeria.
“Just now one such ship is approaching Egypt, another to Algeria. Our message is very simple – we see it, we will not turn a blind eye to it and will not leave it without an appropriate reaction,” the Foreign Ministry spokesman said.
In Kyiv, they emphasize that the illegal trade in Ukrainian grain is actually helping Russia finance the war. That is why the Ukrainian position will apply to all participants in such schemes, regardless of the country.
“We consider Israel a partner and friend, but we frankly say that this trade finances the war of our enemy against the Ukrainian people, and we will counteract this,” Tykhy stressed.
The Foreign Ministry also stated that Russia has actually formed not only a “shadow oil fleet,” but also a “shadow grain fleet.” Ukraine believes that the sanctions should include company owners, captains, and everyone involved in ships transporting stolen Ukrainian grain.
“You will see more actions in this direction – international, not just those related to Israel,” Tykhy added.
As USM reported the day before, the EU is considering sanctions against Israel over the import of stolen Ukrainian grain.
