Ukraine ratified the agreement with Moldova on the construction of a bridge across the Dnister
The Verkhovna Rada ratified the agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of Moldova regarding the construction of a bridge over the Dnister River.
On November 8, the Council adopted legislative act No. 0217 on the construction of the Yampil-Koseut road border crossing, People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zhelezniak said.
In January 2021, Volodymyr Zelenskyi and President of Moldova Maya Sandu signed a memorandum on the development of transport and transit relations between Ukraine and Moldova.
The agreement is important for interstate relations, as well as for establishing certain transit benefits. And the main thing is the commitment between the two countries to continue building a bridge across the Dniester River and open a new way to Europe.
It will be recalled that the agreement on the construction of the Yampil Bridge was signed on June 12 by the Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov and the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development of Moldova Lilia Dabizh.
As previously reported by USM, in May of this year the Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft Agreement with the Government of Moldova on the construction of a bridge across the Dnister River.
Certificate. The total length of the bridge is more than 1400 meters. The artificial structure will have 2 lanes of traffic with sidewalks on both sides. The bridge crossing over the Dniester involves the construction of two approaches: 1.6 km from the Ukrainian side and 5 km from the Moldovan side. The bridge was supposed to provide access to the Ukrainian road T-02–02 Mohyliv-Podilskyi — Yampil — Bershad — Uman and the Moldovan M-2.
