Ukrainian Navy hits sanctioned tanker near Tuapse

On the morning of Wednesday, April 29, a unit of the Ukrainian Navy hit the sanctioned Russian ship “Marquise”.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The tanker under the Cameroon flag was hit with the use of two MBEK-kamikazes in the stern, in the area of the propeller-steering group and the engine room.
“At the time of the hit, the ship was drifting, in the area of 210 km southeast of the city of Tuapse (Russia) without an AIS signal, probably expecting loading at sea from another ship,” the General Staff noted.
The extent of the damage is being clarified.
It should be noted that the tanker Marquise is under sanctions by Ukraine, Great Britain, the European Union, Switzerland, New Zealand and Canada and was used by the enemy for the illegal transportation of petroleum products.
As previously reported by USM, on April 20, the Russian port of Tuapse in the Krasnodar Territory came under attack by drones.
