UZ sent the first batch of grain from Moldova to the port of Chornomorsk

A batch of grain from Moldova has already been delivered via a new railway route to the port of Chornomorsk.

The company is developing international corridors and is looking for new routes, the press service of Ukrzaliznytsya reported.

A batch of grain weighing 4,500 tons from Moldova has already been delivered via a new railway route to the port of Chornomorsk. From there, the cargo is sent by sea to its destination.

Now Ukrainian ports have another route for receiving cargo from abroad, which will help increase transportation volumes and develop international trade.

“The route opens up new logistics opportunities, supports the stability of agricultural exports even in difficult times, and strengthens partnerships between countries. Ukrzaliznytsia, in conditions of falling transportation volumes, continues to fight for every ton of cargo,” the report says.

UZ emphasized that they continue to search for and implement new transport solutions in order to remain a reliable bridge between manufacturers, ports, and world markets.

As a reminder, in April of this year, Ukraine and Georgia resumed ferry service. The project was implemented with the participation of the shipping company Ukrferry (Odesa) and the subsidiary of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia UZ Cargo Poland (Warsaw).
