Yuzhny port will complete the construction of a new warehouse in this year

SE MTP “Yuzhny” is expanding its warehouse space. The construction of an open storage warehouse has begun on berth № 9. The construction is planned to be completed in the third quarter of this year.
According to the press service of the port of Yuzhny, there are three stages of construction of the warehouse, the total area will be 16 thousand square meters. Now the construction of the first complex is underway, which will be designed for storing cargoes.
“Now the construction of the first start-up facility with an area of 5 thousand square meters is being completed. The second stage will have an area of 5.3 thousand square meters, and the third – 4.6 thousand square meters. The approximate total area is 16 thousand square meters. Completion of construction work is planned in the third quarter of 2021,” Tatiana Bakhtiyarova, spokeswoman for the SE MTP “Yuzhny”, told USM.
At the moment, by the forces of the Repair and Construction Department of the SE MTP “Yuzhny”, a warehouse site is being created from reinforced-concrete slabs with a retaining wall. The retaining wall itself includes a frame with metal reinforcement, which is poured with concrete from above. Such a capital structure will avoid soil collapse and guarantee the strength and reliability of the facility.
“The construction of a new open storage warehouse at berth № 9 will provide our company with new production capabilities: it will increase cargo turnover, optimize warehouse operations and thereby increase the income of the state agency,” says the SE MTP “Yuzhny”.
