Zelenskyy signs law on the reform of Ukroboronprom

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the Law on the Reform of the State Concern “Ukroboronprom”.

The law provides, first of all, the reorganization of the concern into a joint stock company. The reform should “reset” 118 scattered enterprises of Ukroboronprom, 21 of which are located in the temporarily occupied territories.

It is assumed that the new law will introduce modern approaches to corporate governance at the merged enterprises, which will protect them from corruption risks, conflicts of interest and direct political influence.

It will also be possible to create joint ventures with domestic and foreign partners, transfer technologies and attract direct (including foreign) investments for the manufacture of modern weapons and military equipment, primarily for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier, USM reported that the state concern Ukroboronprom presented the Strategy for the development of the shipbuilding industry for the period up to 2030 during a roundtable with representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure and experts in the shipbuilding industry.
