Zelenskyy: Ukraine updates plan to protect grain exports

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the state is updating the plan to protect grain exports.

He informed about this in an evening address, Ukrinform reports.

Zelenskyy reported that on July 24, meetings were held with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapaty and the acting Minister of Defense Yevhen Khmara.

“There were other government officials, Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Koretskyy. We have determined in detail the order of steps that can provide more protection to our cities, villages, our south, our infrastructure. We are updating the plan to protect grain exports,” the president said.

Zelenskyy said that the prime minister and the entire government team will work on maximum diversification of export and import operations.

“The challenges are significant, very significant. There must be asymmetric solutions. Providing fuel to the Ukrainian market and also additional export routes, the necessary support programs for Ukrainian producers, plus working with our partners, our neighbors in the region and Brussels. All this is already in the works,” he said.

Earlier, USM reported that the attacks on the ports of Great Odesa had brought to the fore the issue of military risks in maritime agreements.
