The price of Ukrainian export corn has fallen significantly

The price of Ukrainian corn in the Black Sea on FOB decreased significantly over the past week.

Last week, Ukrainian fodder corn with delivery on FOB conditions fell sharply. One of the factors of pressure on the price is the limited entry of ships to the ports of Great Odesa. Also, the decrease in prices is due to the need to increase its competitive attractiveness on the world market before the full-fledged entry into the arena of products from South America. This was reported by Anna Tanska, head of the department of grain and oil markets of IA “APK-Inform”.

Thus, indicative offer prices for fodder corn delivered from Odesa ports in April decreased by USD 15-20/t. In most cases, prices reached the mark of 230-250 USD/t FOB. In some cases, corn prices dropped to USD 220/t FOB.

Russian federation continues to sabotage the work of the SCC. The number of inspections of ships with Ukrainian grain does not exceed 6, which is half of the approved plan. Due to the actions of the russians, the load of Ukrainian ports fell to 30-35%. The problem  was not solved even by the creation of an electronic queue in planning the entry and exit of ships from Ukrainian ports. As of March 30, there were 89 vessels waiting for inspection in the territorial waters of Turkey.
