Kyiv and Warsaw resolved the conflict regarding the export of Ukrainian grain, — Zelenskyy
During the visit of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Poland, it was possible to solve the problem of exporting Ukrainian grain to the EU.
Zelenskyy made the corresponding statement during a press conference with the Prime Minister of Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki, “European Truth” reports.
“We discussed issues regarding Polish and Ukrainian farmers. We found a way out,” he said.
Zelenskyi did not specify what measures the parties agreed on to solve the problem.
Earlier, Polish farmers who oppose the import of Ukrainian grain threatened to disrupt the planned visit of President Zelenskyy.
Last week, the Polish farmers’ association Oszukana Wieś reached an agreement with the Polish government to meet 11 demands, including stronger border controls, compensation and soft loans. On April 3, the farmers stated that the authorities had not fulfilled any of the points.
After the large-scale invasion of russian federation and the blockade of ports, Ukraine began to export a significant part of its grain through the land border with Poland. The grain remains in Poland and is sold there, so Polish farmers began to demand that the government solve this problem.
