The IMF called for all measures to be taken to continue the Black Sea Grain Initiative
The International Monetary Fund called for all measures to be taken to continue the “grain agreement”.
The fund considers it very important in the global context to continue the “grain agreement”, which the Russian Federation is trying to disrupt and use food supplies as a weapon.
Director of the IMF’s Communications Department, Julia Kozak, stated this at a briefing in Washington, Ukrinform reports.
“From our point of view, it is very important to implement all the measures that can be taken that would help reduce food insecurity and really support the most vulnerable members of our global community in overcoming this very difficult problem,” commented the representative of the IMF in response to questions about Black Sea Grain Initiative.
She noted that many countries around the world are currently experiencing problems related to food security.
