Odesa port received from EMSA equipment for elimination of pollution in the sea
USPA received from the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) specialized equipment for the elimination of pollution in the water areas of seaports of Ukraine.
The Odesa branch of SE “USPA” received from European colleagues specialized environmental protection equipment — two skimmers, the АМПУ USPA reported.
The equipment was transferred within the framework of the project “Safety of navigation, safety and protection of the marine environment in the regions of the Black and Caspian seas” (BCSEA II)
According to the head of USPA Yuriy Lytvyn, this equipment will allow to effectively eliminate the consequences of the emergency situation associated with the blowing up of the Russian Kakhovskaya HPP within the water areas of Ukrainian ports.
In March, SE “USPA” and EMSA signed an Agreement on the free transfer of specialized equipment. In April, representatives of the Odesa branch of USPA took part in training on the rules for using skimmers and V-shaped systems for collecting pollutants.
Previously, USM wrote that as a result of the Russian terrorist attack on the Kakhovska HPP, Russian mines and debris were carried by the current into the Black Sea. In particular, a Russian invaders boat was brought on a beach in Odesa region.
