Erdogan: the restoration of the Grain Agreement depends on the West
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Ankara is negotiating with the parties to restore the Black Sea Grain Agreement.
The Turkish leader noted that “the solution to this problem depends on the Western countries fulfilling their promises,” without specifying which promises they are talking about, writes Economic Truth.
It is worth noting that before withdrawing from the Grain Agreement, Russia repeatedly complained that, in its opinion, part of the agreement regarding the export of Russian fertilizers was not being implemented.
“Putin, like us, is sensitive to the issue of our African brothers’ access to grain. I think we can find a common language on this issue,” Erdogan added.
Earlier it was reported that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken held talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan regarding the Grain Agreement. Before that, Fidan said that Turkey will try to revive the agreement that was disrupted by Russia.
