Up to 800 thousand tons of agricultural products can be exported through Moldova per month, — Vysotskyi

The railway route through Moldova can ensure the export of 500 to 800 thousand tons of Ukrainian agricultural products per month.

This was reported by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotsky, writes Interfax-Ukraine.

According to him, the route is not yet fully loaded.

The first stage should be to reach 500 thousand tons of transit per month. After that, the capacity can be increased quite quickly to 800 thousand tons.

Vysotsky noted that after reaching this level, restrictions may arise with the acceptance of cargo on the Moldovan side.

Therefore, the potential of the route at the level of 500–800 thousand tons per month is currently considered sufficient for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products.
