Shmyhal: 75% of this year’s harvest must be exported

Ukraine needs to export about 75% of this season’s grain harvest.

25% of the entire grain harvest is sufficient for Ukraine’s internal needs. At the same time, the rest must be exported. A good harvest means that Ukraine will retain its strategic importance as a guarantor of global food security. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, reports Latifundist.

“Bridges should be built on our western border, not walls. We need wide transit routes for food exports. This is important for the stability of our economy and for the world, because it is global food security,” Shmyhal stressed.

Thus, this year the Ministry of Agrarian Policy predicts a grain harvest at the level of more than 79 million tons. This indicator is 10% more than last year.
