Grain dispute: Poland demands that Ukraine withdraw its complaint to the WTO
Poland demands that Ukraine not “pause”, but withdraw the lawsuit to the World Trade Organization (WTO) regarding the import of Ukrainian grain.
“We don’t know what suspension of the complaint means. We demand the withdrawal of the complaint, as it is groundless and absurd,” said Polish Minister of Agriculture Robert Telus, Ukrinform writes.
According to him, Poland currently does not have confirmation from the WTO about the suspension of the complaint and is asking the Ukrainian side what this means.
“Our appeal to the Ukrainian side is as follows: if we want to improve the conditions of our relations, then this complaint should be simply withdrawn, and not talk about some kind of suspension,” emphasized Robert Telus.
As reported by USM, it became known earlier that Ukraine “paused” the consideration of the complaint against Poland, Hungary and Slovakia at the WTO.
