Almost 60% of Ukrainian grain transits through Romania
Almost 60% of the total volume of grain exports from Ukraine is transported through Romania.
“It was agreed to double the capacity of transit through Romanian ports to 4 million tons of agricultural products. Almost 60% of the total volume of grain exports from Ukraine passes through Romania,” Romanian President Klaus Iohannis said during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi in Bucharest.
According to him, in fact, since the beginning of the full-scale war, more than 27 million tons of grain from Ukraine have passed through Romania.
He also emphasized that Romania will make every effort to continue supporting Ukraine.
As previously reported by USM, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, announced that a new “grain corridor” for the export of Ukrainian grain through Moldova to Romania will soon be operational.
