Since the beginning of the year, ports on the Danube have processed 27.6 million tons

In 10 months of 2023, Ukrainian ports on the Danube increased cargo handling by 2.2 times.

Thus, transshipment in ports on the Danube increased from 12.6 million tons to 27.6 million tons, compared to the same period last year. This was announced by the head of State Enterprise “USPA” Yurii Lytvyn.

The largest amount, 18.3 million tons, fell on grain cargoes, 3.6 million tons — on ore, 3.2 million tons — on oil, 2.6 million tons — on oil products, and 12.4 million tons — on other cargoes.

“The Ukrainian corridor is working, we maintain a stable level of freight traffic in the Danube cluster, we implement investment projects together with business. Transparency, digitization and simplification of procedures are our priorities for the future. Together with international partners, we are cooperating to restore the infrastructure,” said Lytvyn.
