The Belgian Ministry of Defense will also provide maintenance to ensure the minesweepers are seaworthy and operational. At the same time, Belgium will organize basic training for Ukrainian sailors at the Naval Academy, and the Netherlands will provide crew training directly on ships.

Also, in accordance with the joint initiative of the Benelux countries, 300 Lynx BMPs, armored sanitary vehicles and reconnaissance drones will be purchased for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The largest part of the military aid package is the supply of artillery ammunition for 373.1 million euros.

Together, these initiatives amount to an investment of 412 million euros, thanks to which in 2024 the financial support of Belgium to Ukraine will already reach 575.7 million euros.
