EU plans to introduce sanctions against Russian Sovcomflot
The EU, following the USA, proposes imposing sanctions on Russia’s largest shipping company, Sovcomflot, and 14 oil tankers associated with this company.
In this way, the EU wants to limit the Kremlin’s ability to sell oil and, accordingly, finance the war against Ukraine, writes Bloomberg.
At the same time, the European Union proposes to impose sanctions on another 13 vessels that are engaged in the transportation of goods and technologies used in the defense and security sector, as well as involved in the transportation of oil and petroleum products or contribute to the expansion of the Russian energy sector.
It is worth noting that possible EU sanctions require the approval of all member states.
