For the first time, stolen Ukrainian grain was delivered to Yemen from Sevastopol
On Sunday, June 30, more than 35,000 tons of Ukrainian wheat was delivered by Zafar ships from the occupied port of Sevastopol to Yemen.
Kateryna Yaresko, a journalist of the SeaKrime project “Peacemaker Center”, told about this.
In April, the thief ship “Zafar” entered the Black Sea. From May 15 to 24, 35,700 tons of wheat were loaded onto a bulk carrier in occupied Sevastopol.
Already on June 1, the ship left the Black Sea, on June 10 it passed the Suez Canal, on June 16 it passed the Red Sea and stopped in Tajoura Bay near Djibouti.
“Zafar” later switched off AIS and headed back to the Red Sea on 23 June.
“The next day the ship arrived in Yemen. Yesterday, June 30, 2024, the bulker called for unloading at SALEEF Port (Yemen), located at coordinates 15.3168, 42.6725. So, for the first time, stolen grain was delivered from occupied Sevastopol to Yemen,” Kateryna Yaresko said.
As previously reported by USM, NATO ships could detain ships with stolen Ukrainian grain.
