UDS paid 7.5 euros in taxes for each ton of cargo
PJSC “Ukrainian Danube Shipping” paid the state 7.5 euros in taxes for each ton of cargo.
On average, the company paid this much to the budget during 2022-2024, the UDS reported.
The company noted that the state should facilitate the loading of the state fleet if it is interested in receiving taxes from the transportation of agricultural products.
Thus, the UDS called for amendments to Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 581, which introduce a discount for rail transportation to Izmail. This is offset by an increase in taxes on river transportation by the UDS fleet.
In addition, the company emphasized the importance of creating a UDS supervisory board, which will open access to international financing for fleet modernization. The new fleet will provide significantly higher profitability of transportation.
Finally, the UDS was reminded of the need to approve changes to the financial plan so that the company could get rid of tens of thousands of tons of scrap metal.
