Romania will create a maritime training center for the Armed Forces
The Parliament of Romania approved the request of President Klaus Iohannis to create a naval training center for the training of the Ukrainian military.
Romania will join the Coalition of Naval Forces by placing a naval training center on its territory for the training of Ukrainian marines. This is reported by Stiripesurse.
The Parliament made the relevant decision at a joint plenary session. It was supported by 233 deputies, 18 voted against, and 25 abstained.
The plan calls for the center to operate for two years, with the option to terminate the commitment at any time during training or after that period.
Funding and support for the center’s work at the initial stage will be provided by Great Britain, as well as contributions from the international community.
As USM wrote, Sea Breeze training took place in Bulgaria the day before with the participation of Ukrainian divers.
