Insurance companies are studying damages from Russian attacks on Ukrainian ports

Despite the Russian attack on the port infrastructure of Ukraine, exports from the ports of Great Odesa continue.

Taras Vysotskyi, the first deputy minister of agricultural policy,  announced this on the air of the telethon.

According to him, as of today, insurance companies are studying the damage from the previous attacks of the Russian aggressor on the Ukrainian port infrastructure. What will be the medium-term trends in exports from the ports of Great Odesa, time will tell in the coming days and weeks.

“Russia, as an aggressor country, constantly uses food as a weapon and tries to negatively affect the supply of food from Ukraine to the countries of the world as much as possible. At the same time, the volumes of export of agricultural products through the Ukrainian sea corridor in August, September and the first decade of October remain stable. Exports continue,” Taras Vysotskyi emphasized.

He also added that the freight has not increased for today and remains as it was. Despite the risks, shipowners are ready to export from Ukraine.

We will remind you that the price of insurance for vessels traveling through the Ukrainian maritime corridor in the Black Sea has increased to 1% of the vessel’s value in a week. This is 0.75% more than last week.
