Russia launched Kalibr missiles with cluster warheads from ships, — Zelenskyy
At night, Russia launched almost 30 sea-based Kalibr cruise missiles into Ukraine. They were equipped with cluster munitions.
The Russians launched about 100 attack drones and more than 90 missiles of various types into Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported.
The enemy’s target was energy facilities. In several regions, strikes by sea-based Kalibr missiles with cluster munitions were recorded, especially on civilian infrastructure.
“These cluster munitions significantly complicate the elimination of the consequences of the strike for our rescuers and energy workers, and this is a very vile escalation of Russian terrorist tactics,” the president noted.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that radio-technical troops detected 188 air attack vehicles on the night of November 28. Among them were 57 X-101 cruise missiles and 28 Kalibr cruise missiles. The latter were launched from the Black Sea.
The military reported that it managed to shoot down, in particular, 76 X-101/Kalibr cruise missiles.
Earlier, USM reported that Russia had launched over a hundred Kalibr and X-101 missiles at Ukraine.
