Russia announced Ukraine’s plans to blow up a foreign ship

Russian intelligence claims that the explosion was allegedly planned so that NATO would close Russia’s access to the Baltic Sea.

According to Radio Liberty, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) claims that Ukrainian special services “with the assistance of their Western curators” are preparing to “carry out a series of high-profile anti-Russian provocations” in the near future.

“In particular, it is planned to use Russian-made sea mines available in Ukraine to organize the explosion of a foreign ship in the Baltic Sea. Responsibility for this will be placed on Moscow,” Russian intelligence said.

According to Russian intelligence, the Ukrainian “action” will lead to NATO closing Russia’s access to the Baltic Sea “under the pretext of guaranteeing the safety of maritime navigation.”

In particular, the Russians write that Ukraine is trying to “draw the alliance into a direct armed conflict with the Russian Federation.”

It should be noted that Ukraine has not yet commented on the Russian intelligence statement. As previously reported by USM, the EU may begin to detain tankers with Russian oil in the Baltic Sea.
