Russia offers Indian buyers cargoes of sanctioned LNG, – Bloomberg

Russian officials have held meetings with Indian buyers in an attempt to sell LNG from the Arctic LNG-2 export plant, which is under US sanctions.
The talks took place during the India Energy Week conference in New Delhi, Bloomberg reports.
The talks were about the potential sale of volumes from the Arctic LNG-2 plant, which was hit by US sanctions in 2023. At the same time, Indian buyers have not agreed to buy the fuel.
The talks in New Delhi took place after Novatek representatives visited the US and Brussels to try to soften their stance against Russian LNG.
The Arctic LNG-2 plant began exporting last year, but has relied on shadow fleet vessels. None of the shipments have yet been delivered to foreign ports, as buyers do not want to come under Washington’s sights.
As USM previously reported, the Russian tanker failed to find a buyer for its LNG after four months at sea.
