Turkey to host Black Sea security meeting without Russia’s participation

Initial reports about the presence of representatives of the aggressor country were not confirmed – the focus is only on military cooperation between partner countries.
An international security meeting will be held in Ankara on April 15-16 to discuss the situation in the Black Sea after a possible ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia. This was reported by the Turkish Ministry of Defense, writes “European Truth”.
The event will be held at the headquarters of the Turkish Navy with the participation of military representatives of foreign countries. At the same time, Russian officials will not take part in the meeting.
Earlier, Turkish media reported on the possible participation of representatives of Ukraine and Russia in the meeting. However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine denied this information, stating that such negotiations were not planned.
Recall that during the negotiations in Saudi Arabia on March 23-25, the United States, Russia and Ukraine agreed to discuss the safety of shipping in the Black Sea. However, the Russian Federation put forward a number of demands, in particular, the easing of sanctions. The US has said it will consider these demands, while European countries have rejected the possibility of easing restrictions against the aggressor country.
