Over 100 ships and naval drones: Netherlands to provide Ukraine with €400 million aid package

The Netherlands will provide Ukraine with a military aid package worth 400 million euros. This includes over a hundred ships and naval UAVs.
This was stated in Brussels on June 4 by the acting Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Ruben Brekelmans, Ukrinform reports.
“I am announcing a new aid package worth 400 million euros to ensure the maritime security of Ukraine,” he said.
According to Brekelmans, the aid package will provide for the transfer of over 100 ships, as well as naval drones.
“It will include over a hundred ships, patrol boats, transport boats, interceptors, special operations ships, that is, a wide range of over a hundred vessels. The package also contains over 50 naval drones. And also weapons systems, sensors, spare parts, training, that is, a complete package to strengthen the maritime security of Ukraine,” the official said.
Brekelmans noted that this assistance is important, as Russian threats in the Black Sea, around Kherson and on the Dnieper are growing.
Earlier, USM reported that Estonia had handed over a new search and rescue boat to Ukraine.
